Real Transparency
You deserve easy online access to meeting minutes, budgets, and every dollar spent. Right now Clearwater County posts almost none of this information online. I will make sure all records are posted promptly and clearly for every resident to see.
No Conflicts of Interest
Clearwater County deserves a commissioner with undivided attention. Many residents are concerned that the incumbent also serves as Orofino Police Chief. My focus will be 100% on our county and serving you. At this pay rate, I will treat the commissioner position as a full-time job.
Fiscal Responsibility & Lower Taxes
Property taxes are wrong and have become far too burdensome for our hardworking families, farmers, ranchers, and small businesses. We must exercise real fiscal discipline by controlling spending, cutting waste, and finding fairer, more sustainable ways to fund essential services — all while protecting our homeowners, farmers, ranchers, and small businesses from ever-increasing taxes.
Roads, Infrastructure & Public Safety
Every commissioner runs on "fixing the roads," yet the potholes remain and the backroads keep washing out. The same old approach isn't working. I refuse to make the same empty promise. I will work directly with you — the people who drive these roads every day — and make sure every taxpayer dollar is spent efficiently so we finally see real, measurable results. I will also fully support our sheriffs, firefighters, and first responders to strengthen preparedness for wildfires, floods, and emergencies.
Supporting Our County Employees
Our dedicated county employees have been increasingly disgruntled because commissioners and elected officials have been acting as HR. That is not the proper role for elected officials. We need strong, professional management so our employees feel supported, we protect the county from costly lawsuits, and everyone can focus on serving the public effectively.
